Family: Polier (Augusta)

Augusta Harris Polier (1862-1929), the wife of MS Polier, ran this women's clothing store until her death in 1929, after which it was continued for a few years by her daughter Rebecca Polier Goodman. The store was in operation as early as 1915 and continued until at least 1933. The store started as Mrs Polier Millinery but was later renamed The Fashion Store. It was in the Croft Building, next door to her husband’s barber shop.
