Herbert (Bert) Ram (1901-1970) opened a second movie theater on Laurens St, next to his existing Patricia theater. This larger 750 seat theater was built at an investment of $150,000 and was named for his daughter Rosemary. Operations of both theaters was leased to Stewart & Everett Theaters of Charlotte in 1952 after which Bert focused primarily on his real estate interests. In 1962, the Patricia theater was closed and the Rosemary Theater was redeveloped again with the name changed to the Cinema. The Cinema Theater was subsequently converted into a duplex, operating under the names of the Cinema & Fox Theaters.
