In the 1930s, Morris Rudnick (1890-1943) closed the Dry Goods store he ran store in the building he owned on Laurens St and reopened the business as a furniture store. The store specialized in selling and repairing radio sets. Murals still visible in The Alley (painted by Isabelle van Derveld) reference a furniture business which may have been this store. After Morris' death in 1943, the store was run in this location by his son Harold Rudnick (1925-1997). In 1965, Harold moved the furniture store to Park Ave and rented this store location to Alvin Slotin who re-located his Slotin’s women’s clothing store here.
