The Congregation of Adath Yeshurun plays an essential role to support and nurture the Jewish community in the CSRA region. We are here to provide a Jewish connection for everyone while also contributing to the Aiken community at large.

We believe the Congregation of Adath Yeshurun is the oldest Synagogue anywhere that has never had a professional Rabbi and this history creates a special culture where congregants have the opportunity to more actively shape their experience. At the same time, we offer a full range of opportunities to participate in Jewish life, including:

A regular schedule of religious services led by our lay congregation leaders, with occasional services led by guest Rabbis
High Holiday services led by student Rabbi’s from Hebrew Union College in New York
Community events tied to the major Jewish Holidays (Community Seder, Hanukkah candle lighting party, Purim party, etc.)
Educational lectures by visiting Rabbi’s and guest speakers
An active Sisterhood that creates social connections and supports social causes
Contribution to Interfaith understanding via joint events with Aiken Interfaith Partners
