Morris S (MS) Polier (1860-1935) joined his brother HL in Aiken and opened both a barber shop & dry goods store. The Dry Goods store was subsequently transferred to Jacob Wolf. His son Arthur joined him in the business in the 1910s and added a pressing business. The shop was notable for hiring African American barbers and continued in operation until 1933 when his health began to fail..
