Alvin Slotin (1924-2009) opened this women's clothing store on Laurens Street in 1954 and operated his business here until the early 1980s. Alvin was named as head of the Aiken Merchants Association in 1959. The store moved across the street in 1965, taking over the former location of Rudnick Furniture when that business was moved to Park Avenue.
